Food That taste good without salt

Today I made a dish that required zero salt while it still tasted good.

Ingredients:

1 large Onion (Yellow onion or Shallot)

0.5 kg of ground lean beef

3 medium or large carrots

1 teaspoon fine black pepper

1 tbs of cumin ( I like cumin so i usually add more)

1 teaspoon of ginger (I used powder ginger, but you can substitute it with fresh ginger)

2 chopped garlic cloves ( the more the tastier )

2 tbs of chopped cilantro ( don't hesitate to add more or you can also replace it with Basil instead)

Ingredients and preps for the ground beef

1 teaspoon of ginger
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 tbs of cumin
1/2 tbs of cilantro and garlic

Add all these ingredients to the ground beef, mix the whole thing together to ensure that the flavour will be equally distributed. I recommend that you make small meat balls with the palm of your hands by placing about 1 tbs of ground beef in the middle of your palm, you end up having these meat balls by moving your hands in a circular motion opposing each other.

Preps and cooking:

Start with 2 tbs of olive oil (canola oil works fine too) on a medium or large size sauce pan over a medium fire, add the chopped garlic. Wait for the garlic to turn a little bit yellowish to golden, add to it the onion plus the black pepper, and the ginger. Once the onion start turning a little bit into a transparent color then add to it the carrots, wait for about 2 minutes then add the meat balls and the rest of the ingredients. remember to continuously stir and check your heat. after 5 min add 1cup of water or 1/2 tea cup of water if you don't have measurements units at home.

I would eat this with some rice, some green fresh salad on the side, and a tasty tomato sauce or your desired sauce. Don't forget a cold drink like like a home made ice tea or your favorite drink.

Enjoy my yummy salt free recipe
